Would you like to change the world? Well Startup Weekend Education is the event for you!

Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs: as of October 2012, 672 events have been held, involving 57,000 entrepreneurs across more than 300 cities in over 100 countries. Over 5,000 startups have been created.

This particular Startup Weekend is focussed on Education. Attendees will be invited to pitch their ideas for the next big thing in education. We have added an additional ticket category especially for teachers to come and pitch the ideas that they feel would have the most impact in their classroom or lecture hall. You do not have to be an educator of course, we will be welcoming developers, designers, marketeers and anyone with an interest in Education and a desire to change the world.

The event will be a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders, judges and potential investors that provide an opportunity for critical feedback. The winning team, as judged by the expert panel will take away a variety of prizes to help grow their startup.

Whether entrepreneurs found companies, find a cofounder, meet someone new, or learn a skill far outside their usual 9-to-5, everyone is guaranteed to leave the event better prepared to navigate the chaotic but fun world of startups. If you want to put yourself in the shoes of an entrepreneur, register now for the best weekend of your life!
